gO tO yOuR hAppY pLacE . . .

hEy aLL!

What's uP? I hope you are! Have you ever been around a bunch of people who are constantly complaining or being just plain negative about their health, their job, their family, their finances, their ________ (fill in the blank) . . . AND you noticed that you start feeling, well, depleted of energy?

BACKSTORY: I used to know a few people who constantly complained about all their aches and pains & talked about all their doctors appointments, they compared their medications, and described how horrible they felt all the time. Really, it was always something (I'm actually feeling depleted of energy just remembering it and writing about it!)

What happened was, they kind of drove away other people (me, for one!) who couldn't really stand the negativity . . . and these women were left hanging out together, and guess what they did?

They constantly complained about all their aches and pains & talked about all their doctors appointments, they compared their medications, and described how horrible they felt all the time!

And their health got even worse, and worse, and worse.

YIKEYS!

I guess we need to be careful about
where we give our attention, huh?

As I wrote a couple of weeks ago: Happiness is our choice and our responsibility & we choose our thoughts & our beliefs. If we focus our energy on what is wrong, we may be making the problem worse.

How about focusing on the solution? Or, what is awesome about our lives and our health? How about thanking and blessing our bodies (even the boo-boos) every day--for bringing us this far and for supporting us in experiencing an awesome life!!

RemeMbEr: ACCEPTANCE & GRATITUDE.

Surrounding ourselves with people who have what we want is kind of like playing "up" in a sport--with pEEps who are much better than us. It rubs off! I personally like to hang out with people who laugh a ton, and who appreciate life for it's challenges and blessings!

p.s. can you come out and play?
